Good Product
Finally found a use for AudFun. Downloaded my entire hiking playlist onto an old SanDisk MP3 player that weighs nothing. No phone, no distractions, just music when I’m above the treeline. Absolute game changer for battery anxiety.
I Love AudFun
Exactly. Convert playlist to MP3 via AudFun, load onto a blank card with the Yoto app. He just pops the card in and controls it himself. No algorithm, no ads sneaking in, no “please update Spotify” popups. Pure curated audio for a 4-year-old.
AudFun is the only Spotify converter that actually keeps my playlists intact
I had a massive playlist with 1,200 songs for a road trip through areas with no signal. Tried TuneFab first, kept crashing. Then NoteBurner, but output was glitchy on half the tracks. Finally threw $40 at AudFun and it processed everything overnight. Metadata is spotless, playlist order preserved, album art correct. Only downside is the UI looks like it’s from 2010, but honestly I don’t care as long as it works.
I feel like a pirate again and I love it
Used to torrent music back in the day, then got Spotify for convenience. Now I’m going off-grid for 6 months and needed my library local. AudFun made me feel like I’m back on LimeWire but legal-ish. Jokes aside, it’s solid. Took me 15 mins to figure out I needed to adjust output settings to WAV for my ancient iPod Classic. Could use a “recommended” settings button for noobs. Also, the installer tried to bundle some PC cleaner crap, so pay attention during setup. That’s scummy.
My mom can use this thing, and she still prints out Google Maps directions
Bought it for my mom because she wants her Spanish church music on a thumb drive for the car. She set it up herself—that’s the real review. All I did was give her the license key. She converted 200 songs without asking me a single question. The built-in Spotify web player is clunky but does the job. If my technophobe mom can do it, anyone can.
Why does every converter have a "record" mode that sucks? AudFun actually bypasses it
Most Spotify converters record the audio output and then re-encode, which introduces latency and noise. AudFun claims to download the raw stream and just decrypt it. I compared waveforms between original Spotify playback and AudFun’s output in Audacity—they’re identical down to the noise floor. That’s the real deal. So if you care about actual quality and not placebo, this is one of the few that doesn’t degrade the signal. UI still looks like a Winamp skin. Shrug
Made my dad cry (happy tears)
My father had a stroke and lost the ability to navigate apps, but he lights up when he hears his old favorite songs. I used AudFun to build a custom MP3 player with just a big “play” button, loaded with 200 songs from his youth that were only on Spotify. The conversion was stupid easy—I just dropped his playlist into AudFun, hit convert, and walked away. The result? He cried when he heard them. The tool itself is unglamorous, but what it enables is pretty special. Worth every cent.
